In response to requests by kids, parents, teachers and librarians, Puffin Books published Aussie Chomps, which is aimed at an older age group than the incredibly popular Aussie Bites and Aussie Nibbles books. The Aussie Chomps series reflects the concerns of eight to twelve year-olds as they move towards adolescence and the challenges of the final years of primary school and starting high school.  The Aussie Chomps books are between 10,000 and 12,000 words in length, with more challenging stories which appeal to that age group.  There is no illustration content in the Aussie Chomps. To date there are 20 titles in the Aussie Chomps series.
