Kristen Jaymes Stewart (born April 9, 1990) is an American film and television actress. She was born, raised and lives in Los Angeles, California. Her father, John Stewart, is a stage manager and television producer who has worked for Fox. Her mother, Jules Mann-Stewart, is a scriptwriter originally from Australia.

She is known for roles in the films Panic Room, Catch That Kid, Zathura, In the Land of Women, The Messengers, Into the Wild, and Twilight. She will star as Bella Swan in New Moon, the sequel to Twilight. She stars alongside Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen, her character's vampire boyfriend.

In a 2008 interview with Vanity Fair, Kristen confirmed she is dating actor Michael Angarano. She is also very close friends with her Twilight co-star, Nikki Reed. Stewart has expressed a desire to live and work in Australia, saying, "I want to go to Sydney University in Australia.
