Bush food afficionados Juleigh and Ian Robins have created a thoroughly domesticated cookbook full of familiar and simple dishes with a wild food twist. How about bush tomato baked beans for dinner tonight, followed by a lemon aspen cheesecake. Or corned silverside with wattlesed and mustard sauce followed by a wild lime creme brulee tart?

The recipes are written for the home kitchen, and can be enjoyed as everyday fare or for entertaining with a difference.

Wild Classics is packed with ideas on choosing, using and cooking with wild ingredients. A detailed glossary will help you identify and use the various bush foods, and there are easy step-by-step instructions for making essentials such as mayonnaise, chutneys and stocks. If you're caught short of a wild ingredients there's a 'tame' substitute to save the day.

All recipe measurements are in metric and metric cup and spoonl.
